The inner dimensions of a closed wooden box are 2 m, 1.2 m and .75 m. The thickness of the wood is 25 cm. Find the cost of wood required to make the box if 1 m3 of wood costs Rs 5400.

Volume of inner dimensions of wooden box=l×b×h=2×1.2×0.75=1.8m3
Volume of outer dimensions of wooden box=l×b×h=(2+2.5)×(1.2+2.5)×(0.75+2.5)=4.5×3.7×3.25=54.1125m3
Volume of the wood=Outer dimensionInner dimension
=54.11251.8=52.3125m3
Cost at the rate of Rs.5400 per m3=52.3125×5400=Rs.2,82,487.5
