Solution

Length of the hall = 18m = 1800cm
the width = 13.5m = 1350cm

area of floor = 1800x1350 = 2430000cm²

area of tile = 25x25 = 625cm²

1. No. of tiles (without leaving any margin) = 2430000/625 = 3888

2. the width of margin = 1.5m = 150cm
new length = 1800-2x150 = 1500cm
new width = 1350-2x150= 1050
new area = 1500x1050 = 1,575,000
no. of tiles = 1575000/625 = 2520

3. Cost in the first case = 3888x6 = 23,328 rupees
Cost in the 2nd case = 2520x6 =15,120 rupees
