Question

The marked price of an article is Rs. 18,000 and is available in Delhi at 30% discount. A shopkeeper from Bhopal buys this article in Delhi and spends Rs. 950 on his travelling and Rs. 450 on the transportations etc. of the article. Find the profit per cent made by the shopkeeper, if he sells the article at Bhopal at the marked price.

The correct option is C 2847%
Given the original Marked price = Rs18,000
After 30 % discount, the shopkeeper buys it for (18000)30100×18,000=Rs12,600
Total CP which he bears with the overheads is Rs12,600+Rs950+Rs450=Rs14,000
And if Selling Price =Rs18,000 (that is the marked price ),
then, Profit % =S.PC.P.C.P.×100=18,00014,00014,000×100=27×100=2847 %
