Given, dimensions of the block are;
$\text{l=4 m, b=50 cm}=\frac{50}{100}\text{m}=0.5\text{m}$
$\text{and h}=20\text{cm}=\frac{20}{100}\text{m}=0.2\text{m}$

$\therefore$ Volume of the block
$=\text{l}\times \text{b}\times \text{h}=4\times 0.5\times 0.2=0.4{\text{m}}^3$

Also, given dimensions of the pit are;
l = 19 m, b = 13 m and h = 4 m

$\therefore$ Volume of pit
$=\text{l}\times \text{b}\times \text{h}=(19\times 13\times 4){\text{m}}^3$

$\therefore$ Number of blocks
$=\frac{\text{Volume of the pit}}{\text{Volume of the block}}=\frac{19\times 13\times 4}{0.4}$
