Total charges = y Rs

According to question,

charge for first $2$ hrs. = Rs $50$

charge for remaining $(x-2)$ hrs. = Rs $10$

Therefore, required linear equation:

$y=50+10(x-2)$

$y=50+10x-20$

$y=30+10x$

Charges for $3$ hrs :

Putting $x=3$ in equation

$y=30+10\times 3$

$y=30+30$

$y=Rs60$

Therefore, charges for $3$ hrs. will be Rs $60.$
