The ratio of two adjacent sides of a parallelogram is 2:3 and its perimeter is 50 cm. Find its area if altitude corresponding to large side is 10 cm.

Given:The ratio of adjacent sides of a parallelogram is 2:3
Let the lengths of the adjacet side be 2x and 3x respectively.
Also,perimeter=50cm
2(2x+3x)=50cm
10x=50cm
x=5010=5cm
Thus, the adjacent sides of parallelogram are 10cm and 15cm
Hence area=15×10=150cm2
