Let the numbers be 3x, 3x + 3 and 3x + 6 .

Then, $3 x + (3 x + 3) + (3 x + 6) = 72 \Leftrightarrow 9 x = 63 \Leftrightarrow x = 7.$ $∴ L a r g e s t n u m b e r = 3 x + 6 = 27.$
