Three capacitors of capacities $8\mu F,8\mu F$, and $4\mu F$ are connected in series and a potential difference of $120$ volt is maintained across the combination. Calculate the charge on capacitor of capacity $4\mu F$.

Series connection :

Equivalent capacitance $\frac{1}{C_{eq}}=\frac{1}{8}+\frac{1}{8}+\frac{1}{4}$

$⟹C_{eq}=2\mu F$

Charge flown through the circuit $Q=C_{eq}V=2\mu F\times 120=240\mu C$

In series connection, all the capacitors have same charge. So, charge on $4\mu F$ capacitor is $240\mu C$
