Let the total votes cast = $x$

Votes counted = $\frac{2}{3}x$

Votes uncounted = $\frac{1}{3}x$

Remaining votes the candidate needs = $\frac{1}{6}\times \frac{3}{4}x$ = $\frac{1}{8}x$

$\therefore$ Required part = $\frac{\frac{1}{8}x}{\frac{1}{3}x}$ = $\frac{3}{8}$
