The correct option is B $2 m/s$

Let the common velocity is $v$ .

From law of conservation of linear momentum,

$m_{1} u_{1} + m_{2} u_{2} = (m_{1} + m_{2}) v$

$\Rightarrow 3 \times 7 + 5 \times (- 1) = (3 + 5) v$
