Question

Two slinky A and B of the same length are made up of two different materials. The time taken to travel 20 pulses in both of them are 70s and 90s respectively. In which slinky, the pulse travels faster and why?

Velocity of the pulse = Distance travelled by the pulse / Time taken

It is clear that lesser the time taken faster will be the velocity of the pulse. Since the pulse takes less time to travel in A thus, the pulse travels faster in A than in B.
