Solution

The correct option is B Anomalous behaviour of water
When we exert pressure on snow, solid snow melts into liquid, to get lesser space. It happens due to anomalous behaviour of water as water is less dense in solid form than liquid form i.e. water covers less space in liquid form than solid. When we loose our grip on snow (releases the pressure) this melted snow, refreezes again thus fusing the snow crystal.
Thus all this happens due to anomalous behaviour of water.
