Human nervous system

It mainly consists of-

1. Brain
2. Spinal cord
3. Nerves

Brain-

1. Brain is the control centre of the nervous system.
2. The human brain is divided into three main parts- cerebrum, cerebellum, and medulla oblongata.

Spinal cord-

1. Spinal cord is a cylindrical structure enveloped by the backbone or vertebral column.
2. It acts as the centre for many reflexes.

Nerves-

1. A nerve is a bundle of axons enclosed in a tubular medullary sheath.
2. On the basis of origin, they are of two types- cranial nerves and spinal nerves.
