  1. There are some organisms that act as a carrier of disease-causing microbes (pathogens). These agents are called vectors.
  2. Some of the vectors are houseflies, cockroaches, and mosquitoes.
  3. Diseases like cholera, typhoid, dysentery, and tuberculosis are spread by houseflies and cockroaches.
  4. Malaria is spread by the female Anopheles mosquito.
  5. Dengue, chikungunya, and yellow fever are spread by the Aedes mosquito.
