Solution

Fermentation in yeast:

  1. Energy is released in the process of fermentation but comparatively less than aerobic respiration.
  2. Fermentation is an anaerobic process by which the breakdown of organic substances takes place by organisms to release energy.
  3. Fermentation takes place inside the bacteria and in the muscle cells of the animals.
  4. In fermentation, less than 7 percent of the energy present in glucose is released.
  5. In the fermentation of yeast, water at 95°F is the optimum temperature for fermentation that yields the best result.
  6. At the same time, water at 140°F or higher can kill the yeast.
  7. At such a high temperature no viable live yeast is left.
