Tubular reabsorption:
Tubular reabsorption is the process of transferring solutes and water out of the filtrate and back into your circulation.
This is referred to as reabsorption since it is the second time they have been absorbed into the bloodstream; the first time they were absorbed into the digestive tract after a meal.
Causes:
Sodium is the most common positively charged electrolyte in extracellular body fluid.
The volume of a fluid is affected by the amount of sodium in it, which has an impact on blood volume and blood pressure.
The sympathetic nervous system, the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, and non-osmotic vasopressin release all stimulate sodium and water reabsorption in the renal tubules.
The adrenal gland produces the hormone aldosterone.
It induces sodium ion reabsorption into the circulation, potassium ion release in urine, and water reabsorption from the distal tubule and collecting duct of the nephrons.
