Bacteriophages:

  1. A type of virus that infects bacteria and reproduces inside it is known as bacteriophage.
  2. Bacteriophage means bacteria eater.
  3. Thus, bacteriophages destroy the bacterial cells.
  4. Example: Escherichia virus T4, Enterobacteria phage T2, Coliphage, etc.
