Question

What happens to voltage when resistance decreases?

Open in App
Solution

  1. Ohm's law states that the voltage across the conductor is directly proportional to the current flowing through it and provided all physical conditions and temperature remain constant.
    V=IR
    where, V= voltage, I = current and R= resistance
  2. From the equation we can say if the current is constant then the potential difference is directly proportional to the resistance.
    VR
    where V= voltage and R= resistance
  3. If resistance decreases the voltage also decreases.
