  • Chloroform is also known by the name trichloro methane having the formula CHCl3.
  • It is clear and colorless liquid which is denser than water.
  • A gaseous solution is generated when chloroform (CHCl3) is combined with nitrogen gas (N2). When chloroform vapors combined with nitrogen gas (N2) they form liquid in gas type mixture.

Uses

For a wide range of chemicals, the chloroform nitrogen combination is utilized as a dissolving agent.
