Personal selling involves oral presentation of the information about the product by the seller to the consumer. The following are three qualities of a good salesman.
(i) Amiable: A good salesman should be friendly and amiable in the sense that he should be able to create a pleasant environment to gain favourable attention and interest of the customers. Thus, Daksh should be patient and cordial while interacting with the buyers and must talk in accordance with the need of the customers.
(ii)Skilful: A salesman should have the required and update knowledge about the product that he wants to sell. In other words, he must know about its features,usage,warnings related to usage, availability, etc. Thus, Daksh should have thorough knowledge of the product and the company for which he represents.
(iii)Communication skills: To be a good salesman, a person should have good communication skills. That is, he must know how to strike up the right conversation with his customers in order to gain their interest. He should also be convincing and confident while answering customers queries. In other words, he should ensure that the customers are satisfied with the product by providing them with the required information.
