Equivalent circuit of the above figure is shown.

Net resistance of 3Ω and 6Ω, RAB=36=3×63+6=2Ω

Net resistance of 4Ω and 4Ω, RCD=44=2Ω

Thus equivalent resistance of the circuit Req=2+(66)=2+3=5Ω

Current flowing through the battery I=VReq=255=5 A

Current through 2Ω, I=I2=52 A
