The to and fro motion of the pendulum is known as the oscillation of the pendulum.

  1. When a pendulum starts moving from a maxima point A and moves to the other maxima point Band then returns to its initial point A,then the pendulum completes its one oscillation.

2. The time taken (by the bob here) to complete this one oscillation is called the time period.
