Solution

Biomolecules:

  1. Biomolecules are the most essential organic molecules, which are involved in the maintenance and metabolic processes of living organisms.
  2. Biomolecules come in a lot of shapes and structures.
  3. Hydrogen and oxygen make up the majority of biomolecules.
  4. Within the body, biological systems primarily produce four different kinds of biomolecules as follows:
    • Carbohydrates
    • Proteins
    • Fats
    • Nucleic Acids

5. Depending on the type of biomolecule, their structure can differ.

6. For instance, a fat molecule consists of a glycerol backbone and three fatty acid tails.

7. Proteins, on the other hand, generally consist of long chains of amino acids.
