Open in App
Solution

Instructions: The answer to this question can be broken into 3 main parts:
  1. Impact of industrialisation on working conditions of people
  2. Impact of industrialisation on agriculture and craft sectors.
  3. Impacts of industrialisation on social and mental aspects of people.
Solution:
  • Industrialisation changed the way of life of the people who belonged from the working class and seriously challenged their dignity.
  • With industrialisation, a huge part of manpower was replaced by machines and this led to a decrease in the income and also made the jobs less secure.
  • As people were no longer able to understand what they were producing and the use of the products that were made by them, they developed a sense of dissatisfaction.
  • Due to industrialisation people had to work for longer hours under ignorant foremen and managers.
  • After the introduction of the machine, other sectors like agriculture and craft production did not get the same importance that it used to get before.
  • Due to the low income, the people were living in poor conditions where they were much more prone to diseases.
