The correct option is A Remains the same
Let the length of rectangle be l
Let the breadth of rectangle be b
We know that,
Area of rectangle = Length x Breadth
= l×b...(1)

Length is doubled and breadth is halved
New length = 2l
New breadth = b2
New area of rectangle = (New length) x (New breadth)
= 2l×b2
=l×b...........(2)

From (1) and (2)
Area remains the same.
