Solution
The correct option is C Cells will die. Lysosomes are small vesicles, surrounded by a single membrane and filled with hydrolytic enzymes in an acidic pH environment. Lysosomes are of several types and one type is autophagic which perform autophagy and autolysis of degenerate and useless parts. If lysosomes get ruptured within a cell all the acid hydrolytic enzymes will come out into the protoplasm, the cellular components will be digested in the same manner as during autophagy and autolysis and the cell will die.
