Question

Where are proteins synthesized inside the cell?

Open in App
Solution

Rough endoplasmic reticulum:

  1. Ribosomes, which are RNA protein complexes, synthesize proteins.
  2. RER generates proteins (Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum).
  3. The ribosomes connected to the RER generate proteins there.
  4. The cytoplasm and chloroplast of mitochondria are where ribosomes are made. Protein synthesis depends significantly on the RNA found in ribosomes.
  5. Since the amino acid is used to create the protein molecule and genes are used to decode the amino acid structure, this synthesis is known as translation.
  6. The conversion of genetic information from DNA to mRNA in the nucleus is known as transcription. Initiation, elongation, and termination are its three stages.
