2 and 3
Hypothyroidism is a disorder of the endocrine system in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormones. The deficiency of thyroxine during the foetal stage leads to mental retardation and stunted growth. This condition is cretinism. This congenital deficiency of thyroid hormone (congenital hypothyroidism) is usually owing to maternal hypothyroidism. Most of the effects of hypothyroidism are easily reversible. Supplementation of thyroid hormone is a recommended treatment for them if detected in early stages.
Graves' disease is a type of autoimmune problem that causes the thyroid gland to produce too much thyroid hormone, resulting in a condition called hyperthyroidism.
