On the other hand, on cooling water from 10${}^{\circ }C$, the density of water first increases up to 4 ${}^{\circ }C$ and then decreases when it is cooled below 4${}^{\circ }C$ to 0${}^{\circ }C$. Thus, the density of water is maximum at 4 ${}^{\circ }C$ which is equal to 1 $gmc{m}^{-3}$.
