2-cyclohexenone can be converted to 3-methylcyclohexanone by using (CH3)2CuLi (dimethyl lithium cuprate).

Net reaction is addition of molecule of methane across C=C double bond. When other reagents are added, carbonyl carbon is affected.

It is called 1,4-addition.

Option B is correct.
