Solution

Dear student Britishers wants to grow Indigo plant in India because of the dark blue colour for dye obtained from the Indigo plant which is in high demand in the country of Europe and from which Britishers make a huge amount of profits. So in order to maximize their earnings they force Indian peasants to grow Indigo plant and not to go for food crops like rice and also they used to pay very less amount for the same to the Indians.
