A sterile working place is the inevitable part of biotechnology labs. A large number of micro-flora(bacteria, fungi) are present in the air.

A sterile area for the preparation of media, a sterile room or Laminar Air Flow/hood to provide a sterile condition for the transfer of media.

All glass wares and types of equipment should be sterilized before performing the work.

When such sterile conditions are provided, the desired biotechnology products could be extracted without infection.
