Solution
Non-biodegradable material:
Those waste materials which can not be decomposed by microbes are called non-biodegradable materials.
Eg. Plastic wastes.
DDT:
DDT, further abbreviated as Dichlorodiphenyltrichloromethane, was used as an insecticide.
Nowadays its use has been banned due to its toxic effects on the environment.
It is a non-biodegradable substance because it cannot be decomposed by microorganisms and is capable of exerting its harmful effects on the environment.
This is because to date there is no such enzyme has been found in any microbes that can degrade DDT.
