Solution

Sprinkler irrigation:

  1. It is an irrigation method that somewhat resembles the rain.
  2. High-speed water coming out through a pipe is reflected in many directions by a moving plate on top of the pipe making the water spread over a large area like rain.
  3. This irrigation method comes in very useful for regions with sandy soil as it cannot hold the water for longer and the water drains down fast.
  4. In order to water plants in sandy soil, frequent watering is needed but too much water is not good for the plants.
  5. Hence, the sprinkler technique sprays frequent water bursts but in a limited amount making it ideal for sandy soil regions.
  6. This irrigation system is adapted in commercial sectors such as golf courses, football grounds, public lawns, etc.
