The process of scattering of seeds on the soil is called sowing. The scattering of seeds by hand all over the prepared land followed by covering the soil with harrow is called the broadcasting method.

There is another method in sowing which is known as drilling. In this method, seeds were sown with the help of the seed drill. Broadcasting is the cheapest method than seed drill. Because seed drilling needs mechanical implements and skill person for sowing.
