1. The urinary bladder is a hollow muscular organ in the pelvis, just above and behind the pubic bone.
2. It has two main functions which are the storage and emptying of urine.
3. The urinary bladder temporarily stores the urine. When it is full, the brain is signaled to let it out of the body.
