A flower seller purchases roses at Rs96 a dozen and sells them at 10 rupees for flower. What is the profit per cent of the flower seller?

Step 1: Let us find the price of one flower

The cost of twelve flowers =96Rs

The cost of one flower =9612

∴ The cost of one flower =8Rs

Step 2: Let us calculate the profit

The selling cost of each flower =10Rs

∴ Profit on each flower selling =10-8=2Rs

Step 3: Let us determine the profit percentage

Profit Percentage 28×100=25%

Hence, the profit Percentage =25%
