Boiling point:

  • It is the temperature at which any liquid starts to boil.
  • The boiling point of a liquid is the temperature at which the vapor pressure of the liquid becomes equal to the atmospheric pressure.
  • At this temperature, the liquid is converted into a vapor.

For example, at sea level, the boiling point of water is 100C but at 2000 meters altitude the boiling point is 98C.
