The features of sustainable development are:

  1. Minimising the release of greenhouse gases that are responsible for air pollution and global warming.
  2. Using renewable sources of energy such as wind, solar energy etc to reduce the global carbon footprint.
  3. Limiting the rate of consumption of natural resources so that it does not exceed the rate of its production.
  4. Preservation of natural resources and protection of natural habitats of organisms.
  5. Emphasis should be placed on promoting green architecture for building homes and offices.
