Given: initial velocity u=0 ms1, final velocity v=25 ms1, time t=20 s
Let acceleration of train be a, distance travelled s.

Here we do not have the value of acceleration. We will calculate that using, a=vut=25020=1.25 ms2
Now using, third equation of motion,
v2u2=2as
25202=2×1.25×s
Or s=6252.50=250 m
