Weight of metal deposited =3g
Quantity of electricity passed (q)-
q=I×t
Given:-
I=9.65A
t=10min=10×60=600sec
q=9.65×600=5790C
Now, as we know that,
Eq. wt. of metal =Weight of metalq×F
Eq. wt. of metal =35790×96500=50g
As the metal is monovalent, atomic weight of metal will be equal to its equivalent weight.
Therefore,
Atomic weight of metal =50g
