The correct option is C 5 km
Suppose Amit starts travelling from origin.
He travels 2 km South, then 1 km West, then 5 km North and finally 5 km East.
So, he makes a right angle triangle ABC from origin with base BC =3 km and side AB =4 km.
by Pythagoras Theorem,
AB2+ BC2= AC2.
42+32= AC2
AC=5 km.
Hence, Amit is 5 km far from the starting point.
