Physical hygiene also is known as personal hygiene plays a crucial role in maintaining health during adolescence.

The teenager should follow the below-mentioned activities to promote their health:-

  1. Proper and safe food:- Adolescence is a stage of rapid growth and development. Hence, a teenager should take care of their diet. They should take proper care of their diet. They should take a properly balanced diet that provides proteins, carbohydrates, fats, minerals, and vitamins. They should consume freshly prepared food and should avoid junk.
  1. Proper lifestyle:- Teenagers should avoid long hours of continuous table work, television watching. Regular exercise and sleep are necessary for maintaining good health. Teenagers should not consume alcohol, drugs or smoking.
  1. Cleanliness:- Teenagers should take bath regularly They should change and wear washed clothes especially undergarments. Regular toilet habits should be adopted for maintaining good health. All body parts must be washed and cleaned every day. If cleanliness is not maintained there may occur chances of catching an infection. Girls should take care of cleanliness during the menstrual period.
  1. Physical Exercise:- Teenagers should do some kind of physical exercise like walk, exercise and play outdoor games in order to keep their body fit. Playing games reduces the strain and stress of adolescence.
