Solution

Each muscle has two ends, a fixed end, and a movable end, the movable end is attached to the other structure such as a bone by a tendon. Whenever a nerve signal is passed the muscle contracts and becomes shorter and thicker thus pulls the bone to the movable end.

Thus, a muscle pulls the structures attached to the other end.
