Block 'A' slides with acceleration g2 and block 'B' slides with acceleration 3g2.Now the acceleration of centre of mass of the system of blocks A and B can be given both in x and y directions as

ax=3×3g2(cos60)2×g2(cos30)5=3g20^i

and ay=[3×3g2(sin60)2×g2(sin30)]5=11g20^j

Thus acceleration of the centre of mass of the system is given as

acm=a2x+a2y=(3g20)2+(11g20)2=3110gm/s2
