Rotatory motion Circular motion
The motion of a body moves about a fixed axis. The motion of a body is along a circular path.
The axis of rotation passes through a point in the body itself. The axis of revolution doesn’t pass through the body i.e. it passes outside the body.
The body undergoes rotation. The body undergoes revolution.
