how many moles of sulphur dioxide have the same mass as 3 moles of oxygen

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,
1 mole of oxygen= 32 gm
3 moles of oxygen= 3×32= 96 gm
1 mole of SO2= 32+(2×16) = 64 gm
Since number of moles =massM.mass
mass of SO2 in this case = 96 gm
So number of moles= 9664
n SO2= 1. 5 moles
1.5 moles of SO2 have the same mass as 3 moles of O2
