First, converting m into cm:

1m=100cm9.8m=980cm6.4m=640cm

Area of square =side2

=142=14×14=196cm2

Step 2: Calculating the area of rectangular room

Area of rectangle =length×breadth

=980×640=627200cm2

Step 3: Calculating the number of tiles required

Number of tiles=AreaofroomAreaoftile

=627200196=3200

Hence, the number of tiles required to pave the floor is 3200
