Length of the dining hall is 15 m and breadth is 12 m. Square tiles are to be fixed of length 30 cm in the floor of the hall, then how many tiles are needed?

The length of the dining hall is 15 m and breadth 12 m.
We know, area = ( length X breadth) (unit)2
area=(15×12)m2=180m2
Now, the length of a square tile is 30 cm.
We have 30cm.=30100=0.3m
We know for a square, area = (side)2
area=(0.3)2m2=0.09m2
Tiles needed =1800.09=2000pieces
