The height above which the balloon will burst if temperature of the atmosphere remains constant and the pressure decreases by 1 mm of Hg for every 100 cm rise of height is?

The correct option is C 126.67 m
According to Boyle's Law:
P1V1=P2V2
P1=1 atm=760 mm,V1=500 mL
P2=?,V2=?
Now, let x be maximum volume
500=56x, x=600 mL
Since balloon will burst at 600 mL (Vmax)
V2=600 mL
Now, as Boyle's law: 760×500=P2×600
P2=633.33 mm
Pressure decreased
=760633.33=126.67 mm
Now, 1 mm dec.100 cm
126.67 mm dec.100×126.67=12667 cm=126.67 m
